Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Loaf

1 2/3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 T pumpkin pie spice
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. baking powder
dash salt
2 eggs
1 c. plain pumpkin (or pumpkin for pie already seasoned, then omit the pie spice)
1/2 c. melted butter
1 c. chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix dry ingredients together in large bowl. Set aside. In small bowl blend eggs, pumpkin and butter. Wisk together. Stir in chocolate chips and pour wet ingredients into dry ones and mix together. Pour into greased baking pans and fill 2/3 full.

Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes for bundt cake, 40-50 minutes for loaves and 20-25 min. for muffins. Cool completely. May be frozen. Thaw at room temperature.

I made 10 small loaves and gave them to my neighbors for Christmas. They all seemed to appreciate the thought.

My Mom's Pumpkin Bread recipe is similar to this, but a few differences and no chocolate chips (walnuts instead). I might make it this week!
