Sweet Amish White Bread
1 C lukewarm water
1 C lukewarm milk
1 1/2 tsp. Kosher salt
1 1/2 Tbl. yeast
1/3 + 1/4 C sugar
1/4 C oil
5 1/2 - 6 C flour
Combine the yeast, salt, sugar, and the lukewarm water and milk mixture, and then the oil. Using a heavy duty stand mixer with a dough hook, start to mix in about 5 C of the flour. Add in the remaining flour until you get the desired consistency (you may not need all of the flour, or need a bit more). Place the dough in a bowl with a lid (or cover with saran wrap), but not airtight. Let the dough rise for about 1 hour. Separate the dough into two equal pieces. Shape into a loaves, and place into bread pans. Let rise for another 30 min.
Bake at 350 for 25-30 min.
